Wallum Froglet

Crinia tinnula

Vulnerable NCA V

The Wallum Froglet is a tiny ground-dwelling frog of coastal wallum wetlands, often heard before it is seen. Around the Redlands and Moreton Bay region, it belongs to sandy, low-nutrient swamps and wet heath where clean acidic water and seasonal rain are vital. Its vulnerable status reflects the pressure on these habitats from clearing, fragmentation and altered drainage. If you see or hear a Wallum Froglet, you can help by adding an observation on iNaturalistAU.
